April is Child Abuse Awareness Month and Sylvia’s CAC is taking part in four upcoming events around Boone County you can also watch or participate in, too.
BP8, a Brook’s Place Program, in partnership with Sylvia’s CAC and InWell Integrative Wellness is offering an 8-week grief support group for adolescents.
Sylvia’s CAC embarked on ambitious internal process in 2021 to pursue accreditation by the National Children’s Alliance.
Sylvia’s Child Advocacy Center was awarded a $19,000 grant earlier this month from the United Way of Central Indiana. Two remarkable projects have already been put to use with these funds.

Now through 12/31, donations will be matched by the Comm. Foundation of Boone Co. Together with the Ind. Center for Prevention, we’re raising $15,000 for 12,500 kids in Boone County.
Boone REMC has now awarded us $8,292.90 toward video transcription and the creation of a child-friend deposition room in partnership with the Boone County Prosecutors Office.

On May 14, Sylvia’s CAC was awarded $18,000 from the United Way of Central Indiana for COVID-19 relief. The grant will be used to fund upgrades and updates to systems that allow us to conduct our forensic interviews, victim advocacy, and prevention training with enhanced social distancing measures.
