Upcoming events for Child Abuse Awareness Month

Awareness months and campaigns are a critical way for people to recognize serious problems and issues in their communities. April is Child Abuse Awareness Month and Sylvia’s CAC is taking part in four upcoming events around Boone County you can also watch or participate in, too.

April 11, 2022: Prevent Child Abuse Proclamations in Lebanon and Zionsville

The Lebanon City Council and the Zionsville City Council, along with mayors from both communities, will read and sign Prevent Child Abuse Proclamations during their regular meetings.

April 13, 2022: Healthy, Happy Childhoods panel

Lebanon Mayor Matt Gentry will host a panel discussion on “Healthy, Happy Childhoods” at 6:00 p.m. in the Lebanon City Council Chambers at Lebanon City Hall. Available live during the event and on YouTube afterward.

April 14, 2022: A discussion with Zionsville Mayor Emily Styron

Meet local leaders and hear a proclamation with Mayor Emily Styron in the Zionsville Town Hall’s Council Chambers.

April 24, 2022: Family movie morning

Prevent Child Abuse Boone County will host a family movie morning at Goodrich Quality Theaters at 1600 N Lebanon Street in Lebanon. The exact time is TBD, but will be sometime before noon.
