Sylvia’s Breakfast 2024
Coming up April 30, 2024 8:30-10 a.m. at Zionsville Town Hall
As we celebrate 14 years of dedicated service to the children and families of Boone County, Sylvia’s Child Advocacy Center, in collaboration with our valued community partners, reflects on the impactful strides we have made in addressing the critical issue of child abuse in our community.
Breakfast is served by Rosie’s Place
Special thanks to Rosie’s Place of Zionsville for preparing a delicious breakfast for everyone. Rosie’s is a full-service breakfast and lunch restaurant with a full bakery and three locations on the Northside of Indianapolis. Each location has its own unique character and offerings, but all of them feel like you’re dining with your closest family and friends.
A mission to ensure no child suffers in silence
Over the past 14 years, Sylvia’s Child Advocacy Center has conducted over 2,000 interviews with children making allegations of sexual or physical abuse, as well as those who have witnessed domestic violence. In addition to providing vital services to these children and families, we have implemented sexual abuse prevention programs, first responder programs, and engaged in community outreach efforts.
Sylvia’s story is at the heart of our mission, serving as a poignant reminder of the urgency and importance of our work. Named in honor of Sylvia Likens, a young girl who tragically fell victim to severe abuse, our center stands as a beacon of hope and healing for the children of Boone County.
Sylvia’s legacy fuels our commitment to providing a comprehensive and coordinated response to child abuse, ensuring that no child suffers in silence.
To honor Sylvia’s story and illuminate the impact of our work, we invite you to join us at the 3rd annual Sylvia’s Breakfast on April 30, 2024. Hosted by the esteemed First Ladies of Boone County, the event will commence at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 10 a.m.
