Sylvia’s CAC awarded $18,000 by United Way for COVID-19 relief, updates

On May 14, Sylvia’s CAC was awarded $18,000 from the United Way of Central Indiana for COVID-19 relief. The grant will be used to fund upgrades and updates to systems that allow us to conduct our forensic interviews, victim advocacy, and prevention training with enhanced social distancing measures.

Our Executive Director, Kassie Frazier noted, “Everything is being designed to continue protecting children.” She adds, “In our work, we had to pivot quickly from an on-site team to a virtual team, all while protecting children and our process.”

But, with all sorts of changes new ideas emerged that can be of benefit to Boone County families now and in the future.
